Governor's Proposed Budget Cuts Will Hurt Low-Income Seniors

California is in the process of revising its state budget.  Lawmakers must pass a balanced budget by June 15th while also reconciling an estimated $54.3 billion deficit created by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Regrettably, the budget currently proposed by the Governor calls for significant cuts that disproportionately affect low-income older adults.  The programs affected are actually the solutions our state needs to keep older adults safe during the pandemic and stable during the anticipated recession.  Programs like senior nutrition, In-Home Support Services, and others. Serving Seniors is opposing these cuts and you can too by contacting your legislators today.  Let’s speak up together so our voices are heard!

I will call my legislator today!
