Paul Downey
Paul Downey became President & CEO of Serving Seniors in 1995, after volunteering for the organization for nearly ten years.
Since being appointed the role, Downey has guided the agency’s innovative efforts to provide supportive services focused on keeping low-income seniors healthy and independent. Under Downey’s leadership, Serving Seniors has grown to serve over 1.7 million nutritious congregate and home delivered meals annually, 365 days per year, across multiple sites in San Diego County. Melinda Forstey
Melinda manages all business models and program evaluation to drive business performance throughout the organization. She analyzes outcomes of various programs for operational and program planning and works with each department to improve business processes and increase efficiency. Sue Schaffner
Sue oversees the financial management of the organization including grant compliance, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, payroll, banking, internal controls, budgeting, cost allocation, general accounting, and investments. She is also responsible for the strategic analysis of current and potential agency operations from a financial perspective. Sue has more than 20 years of nonprofit financial and executive management expertise.

Edith Glassey
Edith provides leadership and overall strategic direction for the agency’s philanthropic programs and initiatives, as well as oversight of public relations, marketing and communications. Edith brings 25+ years of experience as a consummate philanthropy professional and a dedicated nonprofit executive.

Giselle Beets
Giselle leads key HR initiatives focusing on employee development, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and talent management. Her expertise drives organizational growth through strategic workforce planning and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Giselle's approach centers on aligning HR strategies with business objectives to optimize organizational success and employee satisfaction. With over 20+ years of progressively responsible management experience, she consistently prioritizes employee growth and organizational development.

Jennifer Sinnott
Jennifer is responsible for the integration of social work, nursing, dental, and wellness services. She also provides clinical direction and supervision to program staff and supports the growth of programs and services through collaborative community partnerships in a community-based setting that emphasizes a “whole-person” care approach.
