KUSI - Dec. 2019: California's Master Plan on Aging
As advocates for our aging senior population, we must continue to develop the resources & programs that will help them live healthy and happy lives.
Serving Seniors was proud to host State Senate President Pro Tem Toni Atkins and CHHS Secretary, Dr. Mark Ghaly, for a roundtable discussion with local organizations and representatives about innovative ways to develop California’s Master Plan for Aging. The Master Plan for Aging, issued as an executive order by Governor Gavin Newsom, will serve as a blueprint that can be used by state government, local communities, private organizations and philanthropy to build environments that promote an age friendly California. This plan will have a significant impact on our community as California’s over-65 population is projected to grow to 8.6 million by 2030! We are honored to help represent the senior community in taking steps toward a brighter future for all seniors in California.
