Job Title: Fleet Coordinator

Job Purpose:
This position plays a pivotal role in facilitating the logistical operations of Serving Seniors fleet vehicles. These vehicles are essential for Agency operations. The primary goal of this role is to ensure that our vehicles are fully operational, allowing us to serve our community effectively while we continue to expand our home-delivered meal program.
This position works closely with the VP of Facilities, Senior Director of Nutrition Programs, Home-Delivered Meals Manager, and Customer Service Manager on the operations of our vehicles supporting our home-delivered and congregate meal programs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Supervise our fleet emphasizing safety and risk management.
- Conduct fleet preventative maintenance inspections and basic maintenance of fleet vehicles.
- Enforce all Serving Seniors rules, regulations, and standards.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all vehicles. Ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations.
- Carry out the existing logistics schedule, implement improvement plans via new process or maintenance schedule ensuring no interruption of daily deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and fuel usage. Provide regular reports on fleet operations and logistics efficiency.
- Assist in implementing contingency plans during vehicle breakdowns and other emergencies to minimize disruption to meal delivery services.
- Assist with meal deliveries, as needed.
- Seek opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Works collaboratively with VP of Facilities to ensure all software and systems are being utilized effectively and to their full potential.
- In the absence of the Home-Delivered Meal Manager, this position will serve as the manager’s designate, scheduling drivers and ensuring adequate staffing for all routes, reporting discrepancies to management.
- As a mandated reporter for Elder Abuse, report any suspicious circumstances or suspected abuse to Adult Protective Services.
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, ethical behavior, and commitment to the values of Serving Seniors.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience :
- Five-seven years related fleet logistics experience with a High school Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience of working in logistics/transportation/fleet management function within the automotive environment with comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures as well as understanding preventative and corrective maintenance cycles.
- Multi-cultural interpersonal, written and oral communication skills in English, preferred language skills in Spanish.
- Logistics experience.
- Experienced with MS Office, Outlook, specifically Excel applications.
- Experience working with fleet management systems.

- Onsite position – office provided.
Position is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds.
